There was precipitation include drizzle, rain and some rain – but the show went on! The Iqra centre event organizing committee did a wonderful set up awaiting patrons, and large numbers arrived at Page Event Centre, at Sakaman, off the Odokor Malam Junction Highway, on Sunday 17th June for the Iqra family day 2018.
The event was scheduled between 9am and 5pm, filled with activities for all ages. Kids were fascinated as they got their faces painted and got free cotton candy & popcorn. They also enjoyed the bouncy castle and various activities such as miniature trains, face painting, races, football and many other activities. There was also a Jollof cooking competition for fathers.
We had over a hundred families attend and everyone was thrilled with the event. The event attracted over 900 people to the venue.
The weather did keep many folks from attending, but those who did come out had an amazing time. The park was full of smiles and laughter and fun.
Our advertising at events throughout the months paid off and we introduced many new families to our school.
Thank you to everyone who donated time and energy to this event!
A brief description of the event:

The event is open to all Muslims and our wards are expected to attend with their families and friends. The event is marked by lots of activities for both children and adults and lots of food and goodies on sale.
